FileOptics International Pty Ltd is a software company operating in the Electronic Document Management Market; a market that globally has been experiencing dramatic growth (CAGR 26% - source Gartner).
Our mission is to develop and market technologies to reduce and/or eliminate the reliance on paper-based information, processes and record keeping systems in organisations and make this information available across networks including the World Wide Web. We have a compelling vision to establish ourselves as a global industry leader in the provision of products and services for what is known as the "Digital Document Era" that has been fueled by eCommerce and web communications.
Over the last ten years we have dedicated ourselves to the development, implementation and support of our core software technology that has evolved to become the Electronic Document Warehousing System.
FileOptics EDW - Electronic Document Warehouse System - sets the standard in providing a single, product architecture to support mission critical, document intensive business applications across an Enterprise. Whilst competitive vendors, including current notable industry leaders, are scrambling to create integrated systems, FileOptics has been deploying production systems that deliver solutions that are more simplistic and powerful than the integrated alternatives. Put simply, we saw from the outset that the market required a document-centric approach rather than a technology-based approach to solve an organization's paper & file handling problems and set about using the correct technology to achieve this aim.
From a traditional filing perspective, most organisations will find that regardless of where the paper, documents, records etc are generated, if they are related (i.e. Purchase Order & Invoice) then they are normally filed in the same File Folder. With this in mind the traditional approach is therefore to put files together that are related, so that when you open a File Folder containing all the information in one place.
The advent of the Optical disk based industry has spawned the development of a wide range of applications and systems to address the challenges of reducing paper & improving electronic document management and access. What has happened in the development of such systems, is that vendors have ignored the bigger picture in pursuit of delivering technology-based systems, rather than from a practical business usage perspective
Today vendors are now starting to realize that what the market requires are single solutions to Document & Record Storage Management regardless of the underlying technology that produced it.
FileOptics saw this right from the outset and has set about the development, implementation and support of what is classed as "File/Folder/Document Independent Architecture".
